You should feel confident about the advice you're receiving.
A policy can remain suitable even when the adviser relationship no longer works. Start with the facts about what you own.
Hard to reach your adviser?
Understand who currently services your policy and whether a new servicing arrangement could be requested.
Unsure what you're paying?
Review applicable policy, platform and fund fees using the documents for your specific plan.
Questioning your investments?
Look beyond the headline valuation to review holdings, contributions and how the plan aligns with your objectives.
A second opinion, without rushing into a surrender.
Replacing an adviser and closing an investment plan are different decisions. We'll help you explore the relevant possibilities.
Tell us your provider
Share the company, broad plan type and what isn't working. No policy login details are needed.
Review your current plan
Discuss its valuation, allocation, fees and policy restrictions using relevant documents.
Explore servicing options
Check whether another adviser can take over servicing under your provider's applicable rules.
Keeping your existing plan may be an option.
The ability to change advisers without changing products varies by provider, jurisdiction and contract. A review does not guarantee a transfer of servicing or a particular financial result.
Questions to ask before switching advisers on an existing plan.
If your financial adviser is unresponsive or you want a pension plan second opinion, identify what you need from the new relationship before signing any instruction.
Does a change require closing the plan?
A change to the adviser recorded on a policy and a surrender or replacement of the policy are separate matters. Ask the provider whether an adviser-of-record process exists and whether the existing contract can remain in place.
Which records should you collect?
Keep a recent valuation, policy schedule, fund list, a record of fees and previous adviser correspondence. A review can begin with redacted documents; login passwords should never be shared.
What should the new adviser explain?
Clarify ongoing service, compensation and charges, the extent of investment recommendations, and how often your plan will be reviewed. Ask which permissions and authorizations would be required.
What if the policy is not transferable?
Different contracts and jurisdictions have different servicing restrictions. The next step may be a review, a direct provider enquiry or a discussion of alternatives—not an automatic surrender.
You may also want an international pension plan review or a policy fees and performance review.

Before you make a decision.
Can my existing plan be reviewed without closing it?
Often, yes. Reviewing the documents, valuation, charges and holdings does not require terminating a plan. Available servicing options depend on your provider and policy.
Does changing an adviser mean changing the investment provider?
Not necessarily. Adviser servicing arrangements and transferring or surrendering a policy are different actions. The provider’s rules and account conditions determine what is possible.
Can you tell me exactly how much my plan costs?
Only once the precise product, issue date, policy terms and relevant statements are known. Generic fees shown online might not apply to your contract.
